Today, over 150 children joined us at the 930 for our first day of the 2009 School of Word & Art. We began our week-long study about God’s kingdom and had a great time learning about CREATION from the Bible. We saw that God made man and woman in his image and placed a beautiful world in their care. One of the highlights was learning lots of new music! As we left today, parents were asking where they could get copies of the songs to hear at home. You can find many of the songs including “To Be Like Jesus” and “Good and Gracious” on the new album To Be Like Jesus by Sovereign Grace Music. You’ll also find some unique songs by Sojourn artists such as “Psalm 100″ by Jeremy Quillo and “God’s Love Goes On Forever” by Chandi Plummer. Click on the links to download an MP3 and chord sheets. I had a great time with the children who attended VBS today! There was singing, clapping, jumping, playing, snacking, making new friends, praying, smiling, dancing, and lots of love being shown by our fabulous teachers and helpers! Bring your children and join us tomorrow!
