Family Milestones
The ministry of parenting is a gift and responsibility from the Lord. Sojourn wants to equip parents to raise their children in a way that reflects and points to the gospel as they grow through each major life stage: infancy, preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school. Our desire is to help families grow in the gospel at each life stage by leading them to celebrate major family milestones. Two of these milestones are baby dedication and baptism.
Baby Dedication
We have baby dedication services at Sojourn because God has commanded both parents and the church to teach our children about God. We dedicate our children because we recognize our God-given responsibility as parents, and because we know that our home needs God’s help. We dedicate our children because we want to partner with our church family–making a commitment to raise our children in light of God’s promises.

*Note: The “First Steps: Preparing for Baby Dedication” classes are required as a pre-requisite for participating in dedication services. The classes will be held during the 11:00 AM services on Sundays, September 26th & October 3rd.

Ask Class: For Kids & Parents with Questions about Salvation & Baptism
The goal of this class is to answer the questions of kids and their parents who are seeking to understand the gospel, salvation, baptism, and assurance. We want to partner with parents, who have been commanded to teach their kids about God. The class will be led by Pastors Jared Kennedy and Gary Almon. Our hope is that this class will be a catalyst for more gospel conversations between parents and their children. The first session covers issues related to Jesus and salvation. The second session covers issues related to baptism and assurance.
Next Class: We’re finishing the second half of this class on Sunday, March 28, 2010 during the 11:00 AM service @ the Midtown Campus, The 930 Art Center, in Room 309. Classes will meet again on Sundays, October 17th & 24th.
