Creation Lesson: “God Has the Best Imagination” by Mike Cosper
Psalm 95, Genesis 1
Bible Lesson/Game (25-30 minutes):
Today, we’re going to learn about the amazing things that God did when he created the world. Have you ever helped make something? Have you ever helped your mom make cookies or make a project? Raise your hand and tell us what it was:
(Point out to the kids the process – When we make things, we take ingredients and make them into something.)
Did you know that when God made the world, he made it out of nothing? Let’s listen to the Bible together:
(Involve the liturgists – Have the teacher take the role of reader 1, and two liturgists take the roles of readers 2 and 3)
(Excerpts from Genesis 1, NLT)
Reader 1: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Reader 2: Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good.
Reader 3: Then God said, “Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the heavens from the earth.”
